The Trail of Cedars

I had to make a separate post for this trail in Glacier National Park. Yes, the trees are really this tall! It is so beautiful on this trail and the smell of cedar is so incredibly strong and wonderful! Livie loved that we let her walk almost the entire trail. We asked that she hold our hands, but as you can see by the pictures, she didn't want to hold OUR hands! She sure has such a personality! I know of a couple of people that loved her choice!!
This waterfall is in the middle of the trail. Livie was totally into it, just as she had the previous waterfalls!
It is so beautiful and peaceful! Wish I could have stayed there forever!
This tree is toward the end of the trail. Livie found it to be the perfect place to play. There was quite the tantrum when we had to pull her out of it! I wish that the pictures could do this place justice. Everything is so much grander in real life. The trees seem to reach the heavens!

Thanks David for taking us on this wonderful trip! And thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for being our tour guides. We can't wait to go again!

Our Montana Trip

Every couple of years the Hendrickson Family holds their reunion in Kalispell, MT. Dave really wanted to go, so we packed up and drove out. It is a very long trip with an 18 month old! (For those of you who don't know where Kalispell is, it is on the northwest tip of Montana) But our little trooper did AWESOME! I was actually expecting the worst and she suprised me as always! I am so grateful we have such an amazing, beautiful, and well behaved girl! We had a great time at the reunion! We were able to meet lots of family, even met the only other LDS members of the fam. Liv was so good while we were visiting. She sat next to me and ate about fifty pounds of ice! She is such a riot! We also enjoyed Glacier National Park. Livie loved the waterfalls and was upset when we drove past one until the next came along! She would sign and ask for "More!" It is so beautiful up there! We loved it and hope we can go again soon! It was such a blast visiting with Grandpa George and Ida! We don't get to see them very often.

Hyrum Parade

Each year our favorite Fourth activity is the Hyrum Parade. This year was even more fun with Livie! She loved picking up candy and was hesitant to give it up until the next float threw more and she didn't have enough hands to hold them all. But no worries, once she was holding 5 salt water taffys in one hand! That's my girl!
We sure love Gra and Papa! We went to their house after the parade for a BBQ. It was a blast! We tried to find deep fried twinkies at the square, but they didn't have them! That was pretty dissapointing. I'm sure my heart and arteries are thankful!
I love Independence Day! It is so nice to spend so much time with our great families! It always makes me sad when it is over. Here's to next year!

Logan Fireworks

The past few years we have been going to the Logan Fireworks with Derek and Amy. We put blankets out on the grass just outside the stadium earlier in the day. Then we get dinner and take it up to eat before the fireworks. It was a blast! Thanks Derek and Amy for letting us hang out with you!
Livie and Daddy loved these fireworks even better than the Hyrum ones! But . . .
I think we kept her up too late the night before. She started acting really sleepy.
And actually fell asleep DURING the fireworks! She woke up just as the finale started. Poor tired baby! We sure had fun watching all the fireworks! And this year they actually played the Air Force theme! Last year they played all but the Air Force. We were totally bugged by it! It was an excellent night!

Hyrum Fireworks

Livie loves fireworks!! She was so amazed by the Hyrum show!
It is a tradition in our family to go to the Hyrum Fireworks. We love to go and this year was the best ever, Daddy was able to get off work early to see them with us!
Thanks for watching the fireworks with us, Daddy!

My Very, Very Late Easter

I know, it is way past Easter, but I finally got my SD card up and running! Yeah!!!! We had an awesome Easter. Livie loved finding the eggs we decorated that morning (unfortunately, Dave had to work Friday and Saturday, so we had to decorate eggs on Sunday.) She wasn't very into decorating the eggs, however she loved coloring on the newspaper with crayons! The Easter bunny brought Livie lots of fun things: her Easter outfit with matching bracelet and hair clips, tub crayons, mini robin eggs, a stuffed bunny and some books. We loved Easter! Too bad it wasn't much of a weekend. ThermoFisher added good Friday as a paid holiday this year and made them work it anyway, plus work on Saturday. Sigh, if only money wasn't a necessity!

July

Wow! July has gone by in a flash! I am totally behind! We went on vacation to Montana and had the Hendrickson Family reunion. I have been going to doctor appointments to see if I am a candidate for LASIK for my eyes. I am, so I have surgery scheduled for the beginning of August. I will go through all my pictures and post tomorrow. Reader beware, there will be an info overload . . .
