September 2011
Emmett at 5 months! He is growing like a weed and has the cutest rolls! Just look at those wrists!
He is just starting to sit up, but still isn't rolling over. NOT EVEN ONCE! Dr. Brown told us at his 4 month appointment he needs to be rolling over by his six month appointment. Grudgingly, I am trying to encourage him, but he just doesn't want to! I'm kinda hoping sitting will be enough of a milestone Dr. Brown will turn the other cheek to the rolling over idea.
Layla was born exactly 5 months after Emmett. She is so pretty and I so wish I could be with Amy right now. It isn't fair they are so far away, I blame Derek :)
9/12/11 - Attempting peas. Not a total failure, but not a success either. Most of it just ended up down his chin.
I just love this picture! Emmett is so fascinated with his feet! I don't blame him, they are totally chunky goodness!
See what I mean about the rolls?!? Emmett has now decided that rice cereal isn't that great. Which is awesome since he isn't eating baby food well either. I think he'll be okay, he doesn't miss too many meals.
Wish I had a picture of the front. Yes, he blew out the front of his legs and a little by his tummy. I think he saved up for a week for this one moment!
We took a little camping trip with our friends Caleb, Joan, Brittney & Kira. Emmet was a champ! He slept awesome and we all had a wonderful time.
What's camping with out being king of the rock?
This is without a doubt the best way to eat a hot dog! Olivia ate hers cold since she was too afraid of getting it too close and burning it. I, however, have to have mine so it is just starting to blacken & the outside is crisp. Mmm! Can't wait to go camping again!
August 2011
David decided to go on an install job for his unit in California. He was close to where his mom lives, so they were able to spend a day together.
With Dad away, Mom, Livie & Emmett get to play!!
Emmett is such a happy baby! Here he is at 4 months old. My time flies! He loves milk, naps & big sissy. Not interested in rolling over (to Mom's delight!)
We love going to the Zoo! It was Emmett's first time at the zoo. He loved all the animals, except the elephants. Everytime I tried to get his stroller up to them, he would start screaming & crying! Not a fan at all!
With Dad in California, I had to sneek a little Orange Dreamsicle lick! It was such a hot day (see the justification there)
Mmmm . . . I think he liked it!
It is exhausting checking out all the animals! Don't worry, I wasn't driving yet. She fell asleep before we could leave the parking lot!
Olivia started up dance again. This is her first day this year. She loves to dance & is becomming much more coordinated.
Such a ham! He really is a happy baby!
July 2011
July 3 - Emmett's blessing day was wonderful! And hot! It is always amazing to hear Dave give our children blessings. I am grateful he is a strong, worthy priesthood holder! We had our luncheon at our home and we are so grateful for all of our family that came and supported us.
I love this picture with my grandparents. They have been a huge part of my life & now are amazing great-grandparents to my kids.Independence Day - We always LOVE having Amy, Derek, Allee & Pierce come home to visit. These three get along so well & love spending time together.
Parades are awesome! It is such a fun tradition to go to the Hyrum parade. I've been going for as long back as I can remember.
Pioneer Day - Let me just say that Utah is awesome for having another holiday in July! I hope we never leave so we get to enjoy this extra holiday! We went to Bear Lake and took Emmett out of state for the first time. Does Idaho really count as out of state though??
Mommy & Emmett
We always have a great time at what Livie calls "the beach and ocean." Enjoying family time before Daddy leaves for the Air Force for 5 weeks.

May 2011

May 29 Emmett had his first hair cut. Yes I cried. But I promised Dave that if his hair looked bad we would cut it (because I refused to cut Livie's.) So that's what we did. He held so still and didn't cry at all with those clippers!

And I know, he looks bald. Dave wanted it short. At the time I was really upset, but now his hair has come in so even and looks great. I hate to admit it, but this time Dave was right.
